What it does and what it does not

A safety app that promises too much is worse than no app at all, because people change what they do trusting it. So here is the exact limit, written down before you need it.

What Closifier does

Alerts the people in your Circle, by push, SMS or email.
Shows them where you are, live, while the session is open.
Asks you now and then whether you are fine, and raises the alarm by itself if you do not answer.
Dials your country's emergency number, so you do not have to look it up.

What Closifier does not do

It does not call the police or a monitoring centre. There is nobody on duty at the other end.
It does not send anyone to find you. Whoever comes is you, or someone you alerted.
It does not work without battery or signal. If the phone dies, sharing stops.
It cannot make anyone look at their phone. If your Circle is asleep, the alert waits.

What that actually means Closifier is for someone finding out sooner and knowing where to look. That is a lot, and it is the part we do well. But it does not replace calling 999, and if you are in immediate danger that call comes first and Closifier second.
